We will use a Linux distro called the BackTrack, which features various Network Audit tools.

You can crack only WEP protected networks and you need lot of patience. More and more people have started to use WPA technology to protect their networks and it comes by default from the router manufacturers nowadays.

You need a PC with a router capable of sniffing packets, a BackTrack OS dvd and few command line (Terminal) basics.
